EXHIBITION ARAL GHOST

From September 7 to 21, the gallery hosts a digital exhibition by Elyor Nematov “Aral Ghost”.
“Aral Ghost” is a project of documentary photographer Elyor Nemat and journalist Nikita Makarenko, a discovering of one of the most mysterious places in Uzbekistan: the ghost town of Aralsk-7 on Renaissance Island (Aral Sea, Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan).
Elyor Nematov is a documentary photographer, born in Bukhara, lived and worked in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Currently lives in Tashkent. He is a member of Getty Images. He won in international and Central Asian photo contests, participated in many international exhibitions and biennials.
The author of unique documentary projects: “I am a foreigner”, “Papa Will Come Tomorrow”, “Shepherds and Koshoki”, “Children of Bukhara” and others. Held a personal photo exhibition in New York, New Jersey, San Diego, Washington, Amsterdam, Moscow, Almaty, Astana, Bishkek, Tashkent.
His works are published in such publications as: The Guardian, Meduza, The Global Voices, The Wall Street Journal, The Diplomat, Le Monde, The Telegraph. Collaborates with World Bank, UNICEF, UNwomen, OSF, DCA, UCA, etc.
