EXHIBITION OF NIGMAT KOUZYBAEV

Mini-exposition consists of landscapes and pictorial sketches of N. Kuzybaev for genre works, which are in the leading museums of Uzbekistan and Russia.
Nigmat Kuzybaev (1929-2004) is one of the most famous painters of Uzbekistan in the second half of the 20th century.
Nigmat Kuzybaev in 1953 graduated with honors from the Repin Institute of Painting at the USSR Academy of Arts in Leningrad.
In the early 1950s, together with R. Akhmedov, T. Oganesov, M. Saidov and other young artists, he became a leading teacher at the first art university in Central Asia - the N. Ostrovsky Theater Art Institute in Tashkent.
In the period of the 1950-1980s, Nigmat Kuzybaev was included in the leading number of artists of Soviet Uzbekistan, becoming known as the author of genre paintings, portraits of science and art and as a master of landscape.
Such works as Navoi and Baykaro, Avicenna, Awakening, Abdullah Kodyri, Furkat and many others became classics of Uzbek painting.
In 1969, Nigmat Kuzybaev became the youngest artist to receive the title of "People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR." Laureate of the Khamza State Prize of Uzbekistan, professor of painting and head of the department of painting at the Tashkent Art Institute. Ostrovsky.
